StorageScope Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

StorageScope is published by BuyWiseHub. Privacy contact: contact@buywisehub.in.

2. Information accessed

StorageScope may process information about files and folders Android makes available to the app, including names, paths, sizes, dates, file types and folder structure, to provide storage maps, folder analysis, duplicate detection, large-file discovery and cleanup insights.

3. Usage Access

If voluntarily enabled, Android Usage Access may provide application storage statistics to improve analysis. It is optional for the core filesystem scan.

4. Local processing

Core analysis is designed to run locally. File contents are not uploaded to BuyWiseHub merely because the application scans them.

5. Sharing

StorageScope does not sell scanned file information and does not intentionally share scanned file names, paths or contents with advertisers or unrelated third parties. If future releases add analytics, advertising, authentication, payments or third-party services that change these practices, this policy must be updated.

6. Retention

The latest completed scan may be retained locally for a limited period. The exact production retention period must match the Android implementation.

7. Security

Local app data is protected by Android's application sandbox. No security method guarantees absolute security.

8. Protected directories

Android may restrict access to other applications' private data. StorageScope does not claim to analyze information it cannot access.

9. Children's privacy

StorageScope is a general-purpose utility. The final Play Console target-audience declaration must accurately reflect the intended audience.

10. User choices

Users may deny optional special access. Core scanning can continue with reduced detail where Android does not provide optional statistics.
